Shauna

Registered Veterinary Technician

     Shauna graduated from her RVT course from Fairview in 1998. She has worked as a technician since then. She moved from Fort St. John to start here at the clinic as an RVT in the fall of 2001 and has worked periodically at the clinic since. Shauna is married and needs to take a little extra time to take care of her three wonderful children. Not to forget the two dogs, three cats and three horses that she also takes care of. Amongst her busy schedule Shauna takes pride in caring for the patients she sees as they come through our clinic and the great staff she gets to work with.

Caitlin

Registered Veterinary Technician

     Caitlin was born in Tomslake, BC. She has worked at our clinic since 2011 and always brings a smile and upbeat personality to our clinic atmosphere. Caitlin is now back at the clinic as a Registered Veterinary Technician, upon completeing her two year diploma in animal health technology at Fairview College in Alberta.

     Caitlin is excited to be back at the clinic and putting her knowledge and skills in the animal medical field to good use. Caitlin is both a small animal and large animal technician. She is also a volunteer fire fighter with the Tomslake and District Volunteer Fire Department. When she isn\'t dealing with the heat of the fire or the excitement of clinical requirements. She enjoys horseback riding and anything outdoors. She has several animals of her own including two horses, two cats and a dog but loves all types of animals. Caitlin is excited to meet you and all your beloved pets now and in the future.

Samantha

Veterinary Nurse

     Samantha is from Port Campbell, Australia where she grew up living on a dairy farm. In 2012 she graduated from the Box Hill Institute in Melbourne as a Veterinary Nurse. She received an award for outstanding achievement in veterinary nursing from the school for the graduating year. She worked in a mixed animal veterinary practice for nine years before deciding to venture to Canada for both work and travel purposes. Sam has been in Canada since March of 2013 and loves every moment of it. In her spare time she enjoys horseback riding, playing netball, soccer, and caring for animals. She is very excited to be part of the team.

Rose

Registered Veterinary Technician

                   Rose is a Registered Veterinary Technician who completed her studies at Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops. Prior to joining the team at Dawson Creek Veterinary Clinic she worked in wildlife rehabilitation in Thailand as well as in her hometown of Victoria, fostered over 130 cats and kittens for the BCSPCA, and volunteered with the Canadian Animal Assistance Team. When not working with animals of all shapes and sizes Rose enjoys creative writing and has had her work published by the BC RVT association as well as various magazines and anthologies. In the winter she can usually be found wrapped in her electric blanket or fighting her cat Newton for space in front of the heater, but during the summer she enjoys riding her horse Joker, hiking, and swimming. She has a particular interest in client education and emergency medicine and loves being able to connect with families and their pets.

Kendra Peters

Registered Veterinary Technician

Kendra was raised in Lymburn, AB on a farm with cattle, horses (a lot of Appaloosas), four dogs, and a cat. After graduating high school she started the two year Animal Health Technology diploma program in Fairview, AB. While in tech school she added another animal to her family. An axolotl, which you should Google right now. For her technician practicum Kendra came to the Dawson Creek Veterinary Clinic where she was offered a job for when she completed her program. It was not a far move for her and in May of 2016 joined our growing team. As of November 2016 Kendra had received the Peace River Livestock Award as well as her certificate for cattle artificial insemination. Kendra loves working with animals, especially cattle and horses, but also enjoys her free time where she plays basketball, has camp fires, rides horses, and generally enjoys the outdoors. Kendra is excited to be working here with all the staff and especially all of your pets and livestock.

Registered Veterinarian Technician

     RVT required to fill a full-time position at our rapidly growing mixed animal practice in Dawson Creek, B.C. We are a progressive, fully computerized mixed animal practice currently with 6 Veterinarians and a great support team. Some areas of special interest in our clinic are dentistry for large and small animals, as well as orthopedic surgery.  All of our RVT’s work alongside our veterinarians in the medical care and treatment of all patients. The successful candidate must have a diploma from an accredited institute in veterinary technician training. A love of animals is a prerequisite for all candidates. We are looking for a friendly, energetic, efficient RVT to become a member of our team, enabling us to continue to grow while maintaining the quality of our customer service and care for our patients.  We offer competitive wages and benefits.
